Our Story

Psychological Healing Insights was founded with the vision of fostering strong bonds with the community to encourage happiness and health. Originally founded in 2004 and initially serving the South Florida community, Psychological Healing Insights has thrived through various relocations and continues to adapt to best serve our ever-changing clientele.

PHI strives to provide multilingual service to a diverse clientele. At this time, our staff is fully capable of working with both English- and Spanish-speaking clientele. PHI also strives to network with other organizations in the community to foster a greater integrated care model with external providers and social service agencies to best promote positive outcomes for our clients.

Our therapists are constantly making efforts to stay ahead of the game with newly validated therapeutic models and techniques. We pride ourselves in our willingness to remain adaptable in our approach, as we prioritize your well-being.

Magda Blanco, LIMHP

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with two master’s degrees, one in Marriage and Family Therapy, and one in Mental Health Counseling. Both master’s degrees are from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and am a certified Hypnotherapist.

My profession is my mission, my passion, and my vision. I use a combination of scientifically proven, cutting-edge techniques integrated with alternative methods. I base my methods on a case-by-case basis in order to achieve what is best for my clients. I can help you to uncover the blocks that exist within you, and help you to address them directly with love, compassion, insight, and experience. I believe in unending therapy for a person, as it can be more than just treatment; it can be a guide for life, and I can help coach you to achieve self-actualization.

I have worked with countless families to assist with various issues, including but not limited to: conflict resolution, parenting, ADHD, anger, oppositional-defiant disorder, and eating disorders. I have brought a different perspective to all these families and they have been able to relate in a healthy way.

I can help you get unblocked where you are stuck, shed light on the dark places that reside in you, and help address your particular issues so that you can move on with your life. I will help you open doors that were previously closed to you and give you the tools you need to create a life filled with joy, peace, contentment, prosperity, and true happiness.

Maria Elena Correa, PLMHP

I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in 2014. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Bellevue University in November of 2012. I completed my internships at One World Community Health Centers and at Psychological Healing between 2013 and 2014.

In my time treating clients under Magda, I have specialized in treating families, children, couples, and individuals with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as my bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish) when I see my clients. Using my education and Magda’s guidance, I have helped many people feel more content with their lives.

I consider it of the utmost important to ensure that everyone who comes through my office leaves feeling better than they did coming in. I feel a strong connection with the work I do, as I consider it my life goal to make a positive impact in the lives of everyone around me.
